Rerouting bandwidth is impossible for a single machine. Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be passed through a connection, not exactly the speed, but rather the size of the hole for the data to flow through.

Now, you can't reroute a hole. But, if you have multiple machines, and therefore, multiple holes, you spread data across the machines by rerouting it into different holes, different machines. Following?

So, it is the conclusion that AR is a number of machines.

What do we have to back this up? 1) Compound Intelligence suggests this. 2) Retaining integrity could mean the ability to commune with other parts of itself, other machines in the network.

The extrapolated hypothesis I have come up with is this:

AR is the network of the Monitors for each Halo installation, and they are communicating, and talking about the Array (the Halos), within themselves. AR is the compound intelligence of them all, the single voice. It is being attacked (DDOS like?) and is spreading the load between the machines, but the number of attackers is increasing, and therefore, using up more bandwidth, and reducing integrity. More attackers imply the DDOS is via a botnet, or a viral infection, where the machine is taken over to perform the DOS attack.

Metaphor for the flood outbreak? Attacking the monitors, Flood being the infection.

Rerouting bandwidth is impossible for a single machine. Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be passed through a connection. Multiple machines means that incoming connections can be routed within the system of machines so that each machine shares part of the workload.

The name Compound Intelligence suggests a group of constructs.

Think about this. The Galactic Reset Button, or the equivalent to one, is/are the Halos. Also see the line 'Threats to array integrity will be ...' This means that the array it is talking about, must be the array of Halos. Oh! That helps alot! Now we could say that AR is maintaining, is some way, the array of Halos. Wouldn't that make him some sort of Monitor? Of course! So I suppose we could call AR a Grand Monitor. He helps with the communication between Halos. It sure sounds like an indirect sort of a job that Bungie would probe and put into an ARG. There is your evidence. I'm pretty much conviced that this is the case.

AR seems to be under attack (Note: now he is destroyed), perhaps DDOS like. If the number of attackers is increasing, and therefore, using up more bandwidth, it may cause the continuing reduction of integrity that he often states.<<need ref>> More attackers imply the DDOS is via a botnet, or a viral infection, where the machine is taken over to perform the DOS attack.

Keep in mind, in Halo 2, the other Halos are set to standby mode for remote activation, which means the Ark must be able to communicate with them.  So that theory stands up - AR just may be in communication with the array of Halos. (all of them intact at this point in time)

Maybe Dr.Halsey's creation (Cortana) has come to the conclusion the human race has to go!!.Perhaps it is an intrusive AI that AR is refering to?.I think it is Cortana carrying out the attack.I agree with the Distribution theory as in the Ark is communicating with the Halo arrays and that AR is the General monitor.I just think that during Cortana's exposure to the data in the control room of Halo4.She has become corrupted.Nobody including Cortana herself, knows what information she is carrying.

However I have no doubts what so ever that The Flood have managed to get off Halo4.Nobody knows how many were infected during the fighting we know of a few (Jenkins for example).

But that makes a horrible problem. How could Cortana exist 500 years before Halo: CE?

Distribution Theory

Theory: AdjudantReflex (AR) is not a single entity, but a wide distribution machines. It may be the collective reasoning of the Monitors from each Halo installation, acting as a single voice.

It would seem that AR is in charge of, or at least connected to, an array -- the Halo rings. His post references to the possible firing of the Halos previously.

Rerouting bandwidth is impossible for a single machine. Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be passed through a connection. Multiple machines means that incoming connections can be routed within the system of machines so that each machine shares part of the workload.

The name Compound Intelligence suggests a group of constructs.
