Rallies

The Society has been performing rallies in a number of cities around the globe, drawing awareness to their website. Some events have been documented and reported online.

Membership

The Members sign-in section of the SOTA website is currently listed as under construction. Additionally, contained within the Society's website are two links to join the group mailing list; however, neither link contains an e-mail address.

SOTA_membership.pdf is a form available to apply for membership. The link was found commented out in the source code of the members page of the SOTA site.

As of 22 June 2007 the e-mail contained in the application form (DoYouGrok@societyoftheancients.com) is still inoperative.

External Connections

On the SOTA website (http://societyoftheancients.com), the evidence page lists a number of artifacts. One of these is the: The Antikythere Mechanism - 87 B.C. This is misspelt. It should be Antikythera. Another website that lists this artefact with this misspelling is www.aldo-disorbo.net/discovery.asp

After doing an extensive search on Aldo diSorbo, i have come up with this list:

These are the sites i have found that mention the name Aldo diSorbo: http://www.aldodisorbo.net/ http://www.aldo-disorbo.net/ http://www.clunked.com/ http://www.futurealdo.com/ http://www.aldo-disorbo.com/ http://www.thermequip.com/ http://www.scrubadog.com/ http://journalist.aldodisorbo.com/college.asp http://physics.aldodisorbo.net http://autism.aldodisorbo.com/default.asp http://linux.aldodisorbo.com/default.asp http://acting.aldo-disorbo.com/default.asp http://talkingcar.aldo-disorbo.com/ http://robotics.aldodisorbo.net/ http://coder.aldodisorbo.net/default.asp http://sitcom.aldodisorbo.net/default.asp http://physiologists.aldo-disorbo.net/ http://www.columbus-sw.com/

Most of them seem to have a link to: http://www.aldodisorbo.com/

aldodisorbo.com tells us that he won the nobel prize in physics in 1921, when in fact, Albert Einstein won it that year (http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/physics/laureates/1921/)

Also, another point of interest: The word Germany is repeatedly spelt Germaniany (a soearch showed this to be of no relevance)

I will continue to research the relevance to Aldo diSorbo.
